Virginia graduated from Dallas City High School, Dallas City, Ill., with the Class of 1958, as the valedictorian of her class. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Vilas “Bud” Muir and Vancel Muir.

She was the stepdaughter of Bryan Buxton. She was born June 27, 1940, in Wayland, Mo., the daughter of Hobart and Mary Louise (Fletcher) Muir. Colgan, 82, of Bradford, Ill., passed away at 3:43 a.m.
