She spent 25 years of her career at the Community Clinic. She then graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in Peoria as a registered nurse. Virginia graduated from Dallas City High School, Dallas City, Ill., with the Class of 1958, as the valedictorian of her class. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Vilas “Bud” Muir and Vancel Muir.

She is also survived by three children, Mike Colgan of Bradford, Mitch (Kathy) Colgan of Bradford, and Kelly (Charles) Puent of Washington, Ill. 2, 1961, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Peoria.
She was the stepdaughter of Bryan Buxton. She was born June 27, 1940, in Wayland, Mo., the daughter of Hobart and Mary Louise (Fletcher) Muir. Colgan, 82, of Bradford, Ill., passed away at 3:43 a.m.
